Shock at Starnberg train station: Four perpetrators caught after knife attack!

A brutal incident recently caused a stir at Starnberg train station. On November 1, 2025, a 28-year-old Bosnian man was the victim of an attack at around 7:50 p.m. in which he was seriously injured by multiple stab wounds in the back. Fortunately, the injuries were not life-threatening, but the man was immediately taken to hospital where he was treated. The perpetrators, a group of several people, fled on foot after the attack.

The police were quickly on the scene and launched an intensive search, and a police helicopter was even deployed to provide support. That same evening, the police searched an apartment in Starnberg and encountered four people who are now considered suspects. A total of three Kosovar citizens and one Swedish citizen, aged 19, 22, 23 and 25, were arrested. These arrests came after extensive investigations by the Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police Mercury reported.

Investigations continue

At the request of the Munich II public prosecutor's office, those arrested were brought before the responsible judges, who then ordered pre-trial detention. Another suspect, aged 21, was released from custody after police measures were completed, the police said in their press release Bavaria Police.

The investigation into the exact motive for the attack has not yet been completed. Initial indications suggest that this is a personal conflict between those involved, with all actors apparently already knowing each other. Nevertheless, the situation never posed a danger to the general public, which should reassure residents and passers-by.

The police will continue to do everything they can to fully clarify the background to the attack and bring the suspects to justice. It remains to be hoped that such incidents can be avoided in the future and that safety at Starnberg train station remains guaranteed.
