FSG Tacherting celebrates a medal rush at the DM in Dresden!

An exciting weekend for the archers of FSG Tacherting: At “The Finals”, the important multi-sport event that took place in Dresden, the athletes were able to win several medals. On the first day of competition, the athletes showed their skills in the recurve master class and dominated the mixed team with an impressive performance. The combination of precision and team spirit led to Elke Zauner and Armin Garnreiter securing the title and defending their success from the last championship PNP reported.

In the mixed competition, FSG Tacherting managed to get off to a successful start on the first day. Zauner and Garnreiter took third place after qualifying with 1172 rings. They showed their skills by winning 6-0 against SGi Gärtringen in the round of 16. In the quarterfinals there was an exciting play-off, which they won against TSV Holm 19:18. The semi-final against SG Hubertus Hörlkofen was won 5:3 before they put the competition from Arolsen in their place with a clear 6:0 in the final.

Achievements in different classes

However, the Tachertinger's successes were not limited to the Masters. The shooters also shone in the recurve over 18 category. Felix Wieser and Balbina Kellerer made it to the round of 16, but were defeated by PSV Munich 3-5. However, Kathi Bauer and Moritz Wieser won the bronze medal, while gold went to Elisa Tartler and Max Weckmüller from BSG Ebersberg.

FSG Tacherting was represented three times in the youth class. All three mixed teams qualified for the round of 16. The Stammberger/Lamprecht duo finished the competitions with a solid 5th place, while the other two teams took 9th place.

In the 18+ male recurve team competition, the first FSG team demonstrated perseverance and ultimately won the final 6-0 against Sherwood BSC Herne, which earned them the gold medal. The Recurve Master men took home a silver medal in the final after defeating TSV Jahn Freising in the play-off but losing to BC Oberauroff. What is even more impressive is that the Recurve Master women set a new German record with 1,785 rings in the qualification.

A look back

But it wasn't just the German Championships that were an issue this year. FSG Tacherting also successfully took part in the Bavarian Championship from July 18th to 20th, 2025, which took place at the Olympic shooting range in Hochbrück. Here Marzena Wrodarczyk achieved first place among women with 612 rings. The FSG also secured victory in the team ranking of this championship with 1,802 rings.

In addition, the German championship in the coming season will be like that DSB says it will be a huge event with over 6,000 athletes and other exciting shooting competitions. Both amateur and top athletes are warmly invited to put their skills to the test.

The successes of FSG Tacherting impressively demonstrate that this sport is practiced with a lot of passion and commitment. It will be exciting to see how the shooters will perform at future competitions!
