Holiday newspaper 2025: Exciting activities in the WUG district!

The summer holidays are just around the corner and with them the opportunity for many exciting experiences. The new holiday newspaper for the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district, which was published today, is an official invitation to a summer full of adventures. This newspaper, which was designed by the municipal youth work, provides information about a colorful program that will keep children and young people on their toes. A variety of activities are offered, ranging from day trips to exciting courses. Young people who are enthusiastic about technology and football can, among other things, take a day trip to Sinsheim go to the technology museum.

A visit to the Sinsheim Technology Museum is a real highlight. Located just an hour south of Frankfurt, it is home to a unique variety of technical masterpieces, including the world's largest dance organ as well as impressive vintage cars and even supersonic jets like the Concorde. Here, holiday pass holders can not only experience technical history, but also take part in a stadium tour at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The holiday newspaper promises not only fun, but also the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of technology and football.

A versatile program for everyone

The leisure activities on offer are diverse and include everything from SUP and surfing courses to an action camp and a youth sailing week on Lake Brombachsee. Anyone interested in sporting competition can take part in a soccer school in Unterwurmbach or live out their creative skills in building robots with Lego Mindstorms in collaboration with WUG-Net. Trial offers in horse riding, martial arts, model car training, golf and much more are also part of the program.

Also new is an offer in Heidenheim Monastery, where there is a monastery rally, and the EBZ Pappenheim, which offers geocaching and a high ropes course. In addition, there are great insights into youth work through the activities of the model pilots and the DLRG, which organize the so-called Rescue Day.

The holiday newspaper is available in local savings banks, Raiffeisen banks, libraries, city and municipal administrations and in the district office.
