The course of the game

The game started promisingly for Jena, which was able to pull away with an early lead of nine points. They led 41-38 at halftime. However, the Würzburg team found their way back into the game and showed fighting spirit, which was ultimately rewarded.

The decision was exciting until the last second. The score after the quarters was even: 21:22, 17:19, 22:14 and 14:19. After 40 minutes the score was 84:84, which led to two overtime periods in which the Baskets ultimately had the better end. Team performance and failures

Other players contributed to the win: Davion Mintz recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Charles Thompson delivered a strong performance with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks.
