What's going on in Würzburg today? On July 5, 2025, there will be numerous events on the program that will attract both locals and visitors to the city. There is something for every taste!
Lower Franconia's largest folk festival, the Kiliani Folk Festival, has opened its doors and attracts visitors with a colorful offering: festival tents, exciting rides and delicious food stalls - everyone is welcome here. Today from 6 p.m. the cult band Höhner will create a great atmosphere and heat up the visitors. The festivities take place on the Talavera grounds in Würzburg and are open daily from 2 p.m. to midnight, or until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Cultural highlights
If you prefer something a little quieter, you can't miss the flickering fortress. The romantic comedy “Bridget Jones – Crazy About Him” will be shown on Neutorwiese today from 7.30 p.m. Before that, there is the exciting “Zappalott and the Dino Baby” for the little ones from 11 a.m. A perfect place for families to end the day relaxing.
Another great event is the festival at Gut Wöllried, which lasts until July 18th. Today music lovers can look forward to Jethro Tull, who will be on stage from 7:30 p.m. In addition to all of these events, wine lovers can enjoy Franconian wines and enjoy live music at the Hofgarten wine festival in the city's beautiful Residenzgarten. Opening times are daily from 5pm to midnight - a perfect place to celebrate summer and soak up the atmosphere.

Off to the beer gardens!
The mood in the beer garden is particularly good today! Enjoy a lovely evening in one of Würzburg's many beer gardens: The Bauriedel is open until 10 p.m. this weekend, while the Waldschänke in Dornheim is ready for thirsty guests from 12 p.m. The Schützenhof is also open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., perfect for a cold beer after a long day.
The day is rounded off with a visit to the Cineworld Dettelbach cinema, where exciting films such as “F1 (2025)” or “Girls Girls!” run. It is an ideal opportunity to end the evening with popcorn and exciting stories.
