Schmidt's footprints in Würzburg's nightlife history are unmistakable. In 1969 the party mile experienced a revival with the opening of the Tiffany Clubs its first major boom on Sanderstrasse. He later took over the “Horse Stable” on Eichhornstrasse and renamed it “Pipers Pub”. But the absolute highlight of his career was the opening of the Airport on Gattinger Straße in 1983. This club quickly became a mecca for house and techno lovers and attracted famous DJs such as Sven Väth, Paul van Dyk and Westbam.
