Sail highlight: Sunday shopping and spectacular events!
August 17, 2025 will be dedicated to the big sailing spectacle “Sail” in Bremerhaven. On this last day of the event, not only are the shops open, but there is also a colorful program for all visitors. A real highlight that no one should miss!
The New Harbor West opens its doors from 11 a.m. There are not only culinary delicacies from all over the world, but also a lot of exciting attractions. In the Privateer Village Young and old can marvel at handicrafts and look over the shoulders of the craftsmen.
Sporty highlights
For adrenaline junkies, water sports are offered in the Old Harbor. Free offers such as water skiing, wakeboarding and hydrofoil surfing are available here. There is also kayaking and a water park course - there is something for everyone! If you want to be there live, you can look around the various ships and take part in trips to experience the spectacle from a new perspective.
A special experience is the virtual flight into space with Spacebuzz One, which also takes place on Sunday at 11 a.m. However, you shouldn't be late here, as advance booking is required!
Evening highlights
The final light of the day is a spectacular fire show at 9:50 p.m. on the cultural stage, which is the culmination of this unforgettable day. Before that, Ralf Meyer, spokesman for the management of the Sail Organizing Committee, will give exciting insights into the event in a live interview at the NZ stand in front of the Climate House at 4 p.m.
Of course, the background music is also provided: music for every taste is offered on seven different stages. And if the live music isn't enough, wait Wine deck at Lloydplatz with a fine selection of wines and a live music program for all friends of good taste.
The “Sail” festival has established itself as one of the largest maritime events and enjoys great popularity far beyond the city limits.
