In Mittenaar, Hesse, a dramatic traffic accident occurred on Saturday morning, October 12, 2025, involving a youth fire department fire engine. However, the collision had serious consequences: the front part of the fire engine caught fire and the fire quickly spread to the entire vehicle.
Firefighting and on-site support
The first attempts to extinguish the fire, carried out with water from the fire engine, were not successful. Another fire engine was made available to fight the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to the surrounding area the Mittenaar fire department reported.
The investigation into the cause of the accident is now in full swing and the police have been called in.
