On the night of Thursday, June 26th, there was a series of thefts in Fulda-Haimbach that caused excitement in the local construction world. Unknown perpetrators stole valuable tools from construction sites on Dr.-Hamm-Brücher-Straße. The loss adds up to around 20,000 euros, an amount that represents a significant blow for both craft businesses and private individuals. In one of the cases, the thieves even got into a garage, where they took materials as well as construction equipment.
The police suspect that a van was used to transport the stolen items. This is particularly likely considering that among the items taken was a heavy plastering machine. In a similar way, burglars also broke into the basement of an apartment building in Fulda. Power tools, including a table saw and several Makita machines, were stolen - the damage amounts to around 2,700 euros. Further thefts involved vehicle license plates in Künzell and Fulda.
