A bright sky and pleasant temperatures characterized the Gießen city festival, which took place over three days and up to150,000 visitorsattracted. The new highlight, theSelterstor Garden, opened at the beginning of August and proved to be a real crowd puller, with a stream of visitors of up to 10,000 people, as owner Deniz Günther revealed.
The city was transformed into a festive stageseven stages,105 stallsand numerous artists and events. Clown Ichmael made the little ones' faces smile with a children's exercise program that included a turntable, diabolo and slackline. Claudia and Jens Velten told exciting stories in the Ulenspiegel Gardensliming snails, while city councilor Astrid Eibelshäuser gave a reading.
Cultural highlights and competitions
Another highlight was this“Do it with watering” market, where local products and handicrafts were presented.
