On November 5, 2025, a 55-year-old man from Heringen was convicted of aggravated robbery and grievous bodily harm. The incident occurred on a Sunday in August 2024 when the defendant entered the gas station while intoxicated to buy beer.
The situation escalated when the employee informed him that the daily billing had already been completed and no more beer could be sold. He then grabbed four cans of beer himself and just put four euros on the counter. When the employee tried to stop him from escaping, he hit her in the ear with a full beer can, causing pain and pressure in the ear. In such chaos, you can imagine what was going on!
The court ruling

The verdict ultimately fell in favor of justice: the defendant was sentenced to one year in prison, which was suspended for three years. He also has to do 40 hours of community service and pay the costs of the procedure.
