Ninja Warrior Joel Mattli opens the spectacular MünsterbergPARK!
On August 25, 2025 the time had come: the new oneMünsterbergPARKin Bad Soden-Salmünster was ceremoniously opened. The park, which was specifically designed as a place for young people to exercise and meet, attracted numerous visitors. The star guest at the opening ceremony was the well-known ninja warrior Joel Mattli, who officially opened the ninja course and gave the young guests valuable training tips.
The celebrations were very well received, and the varied supporting program, moderated by spa director Stefan Ziegler, brought even more life to the park. DJ Nevermint created an atmospheric atmosphere with music, while the participants from Hyrox MMA Gym and GetFit Bad Soden-Salmünster had fun with outdoor workouts. The integration of digital challenges through Crimson Technology allows young people to compete and win exciting prizes.
Diverse offers for young people
The MünsterbergPARK offers a variety of offerings: from a modular pump track to a ninja course to a calisthenics facility - there is something for everyone here. In his speech, Mayor Dominik Brasch emphasized the importance of such meeting places that enable young people to meet, do sports and have fun. “It is important to create places that attract young people and offer them space for exercise,” he emphasized.
The impetus for the project came from a young Salmünster resident named Jonas, who expressed the desire for more sporting opportunities. This shows how important it is to give children and young people a voice. The children and youth advisory board was actively involved in the participation process, and chairwoman Celina Brasch emphasized the importance of co-determination for the younger generations.
Funding supports new space for movement
The realization of the MünsterbergPARK was supported by EU funding from the LEADER program. These funds are essential for creating suitable exercise offerings in public spaces, as many good ideas often fail due to budget constraints. Public funding enables municipalities to implement interesting projects to promote health, education and participation. Free sports also offers know-how and personal advice to successfully implement such ideas.
The park is rounded off by greening measures that are implemented in autumn, including the planting of shade trees. The MünsterbergPARK is not only an example of new municipal attitudes towards the inclusion of young people, but is also a confident sign for the future development of exercise spaces in the region.
The opening of the MünsterbergPARK is a step in the right direction for promoting sport and community among young people in Bad Soden-Salmünster. Fulda newspaper reports on the huge crowds and enthusiasm that this new sports facility generated, during East Hesse News captures the many facets of the opening festival.
