Hummetroth celebrates 4-0 victory and spoils Hünfeld's Oktoberfest atmosphere!

Last Saturday, September 20th, 2025, the Oktoberfest atmosphere for Hünfelder SV was significantly dampened when they met SV Hummetroth. With a clear 0:4, coach Artug Özbakir's team celebrated an extremely clear away win. The game took place as part of the Hessenliga, in which Hünfelder SV remains in the top group despite the defeat.

The game started very badly for Hünfelder SV. In the 32nd minute, Ahmet Dogan scored with a header from a corner and gave Hummetroth the lead. Just six minutes later, in the 38th minute, Nico Struwe increased the score to 0-2 and set the course for victory. The spectators then faced a 3-0 defeat in the second half when Jannik Sommer struck again from a corner in the 58th minute. Giuseppe Signorelli scored the final point with a penalty kick in the 60th minute.

Player squad and coaches

After the defeat, coach Johannes Helmke couldn't do much to change his team's sufficient number of points. Hünfelder SV remains in 4th place in the table with a total of 19 points after 9 games. However, with the current record of 6 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats, the starting position is still good. The last five games brought 7 points, meaning the momentum should be regained soon.

The Hünfelder SV line-up looked like this:

  • Maul
  • Häuser (73. Kocak)
  • Dücker
  • Vogler (65. Witkowski)
  • Fröhlich
  • Lindemann (46. Paliatka jr.)
  • Simon (56. Kemmerzell)
  • Gadermann
  • Trägler
  • Zentgraf
  • Kassa

The referees' hearts were won by Marcel Göttel, who confidently led the game.

Outlook and next encounters

After the defeat, Hünfelder now has an away game against Eintracht Frankfurt U21, which will take place next Friday at 7:30 p.m. SV Hummetroth, on the other hand, can prepare for a home game against FSV Fernwald on Saturday, after which they were finally able to record a win again after 5 games without a win.

For the Hünfelders, there remains hope for positive changes, especially with the coming games. The team, led by coach Helmke, has the potential to impress again in the next games. It remains to be seen whether they have the necessary “hand” to maintain their position. The Hessenliga promises to remain exciting as usual!
