On the night of Tuesday, June 17, 2025, a serious theft occurred in the Staufenberg parking lot on Autobahn 7, which caused a stir. Unknown perpetrators used a knife to gain access to a Romanian tractor-trailer and stole almost 100 hot air fryers worth several thousand euros. The wiry thieves operated between 11pm and 2.50am while the truck drivers were sleeping undisturbed, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake as five other semi-trailers were also damaged.
