Cologne, October 25, 2025 - A musical highlight awaits visitors to the Hephata Festival 2026: The popular band “Fäaschtbänkler” will perform on September 12, 2026 on the festival site next to the Hephata gardening center. Due to the positive response from last year, the band received another invitation, and Head of Communications Johannes Fuhr from Hephata Diakonie raves about the varied genre crossover that the musicians will bring to the stage. The band combines pop, brass music, electro, techno and the unmistakable Oberkrainer sound and has made a name for itself on larger stages since their last appearance.
The Fäaschtbänkler's energetic live performances promise to be unforgettable. With instruments such as trumpet, baritone, accordion, guitar, alphorn and drums, they create a rousing atmosphere that captivates the audience. Well-known hits like “ALL IN”, “Glück” and “Humpa Humpa” will certainly provide the right momentum. Tickets for the concert cost 54 euros and are available both online and at the box office. Further holiday program highlights will be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
Hephata Holidays: A celebration for everyone
But it's not just the sounds of the Fäaschtbänkler that are on the program. The Hephata festival, which will take place in Treysa on September 7th and 8th, 2024, promises a colorful hustle and bustle with a wide range of offerings. Visitors can look forward to many hands-on activities across three stages, a large market mile and action areas. Admission is free, with the exception of the Saturday evening concert.
Under the motto “Blech is fun”, on Saturday evening, in addition to the Fäaschtbänklers, the group “Incredibly big – the little brass music” will be on stage at 7 p.m. and “Blowpop” at 8:30 p.m. And that's not all: Sunday will be rounded off with the final concert by Julia Lindholm, who will interpret Abba songs in German, while the Happy Sound Orchestra will ensure a good atmosphere at 3 p.m.
Diversity and participation in focus
A special program item of the Hephata festival is the jury exhibition of the Universal Design Awards, which is also taking place this year. Applications are possible for companies, designers, students and social institutions, so there are over 100 products, services and architectures to choose from. If you want, you can take part as an audience jury on Saturday and Sunday and give your opinion on the entries submitted. In the past, innovative products such as a garden shop and a sausage cutting board from Hephata facilities have been awarded the Universal Design Prize.
The entire festival promises to not only be a feast for the ears, but also offers space for inclusion and participation. With a children's program, performances by mobile artists and a market mile showcasing local artisans and creative goods, every visitor will get their money's worth. So keep September 12, 2026 on your calendar so you don't miss anything!
