Benefit concert inspires Alsfeld: 600 guests support seniors!

A benefit concert in the Alsfeld town hall on November 10, 2025 left quite an impression. With over 600 visitors, the hall was filled to capacity. Not only was there a celebration here, but also a lot of donations to support senior citizens in the region. The proceeds from the concert go like this lauterbacher-anzeiger.de reports, together with the German Red Cross (DRK) in projects that are intended to benefit older people.

The concert was put on by a total of 66 musicians - 38 from the “show and brass band” and 28 from the Musikverein Leusel (MVL). The event was divided into three pieces: In the first part, the fire brigade musicians played celebratory concert music under the direction of Alexander Reinsch. The MVL musicians under Sonja Frank then took the listeners into the musical atmosphere of a fair tent. The crowning conclusion was the first joint appearance of both formations, which gave many people pure goosebumps.

A heartfelt thank you

The speeches of the guests of honor made it clear how important this initiative is. Mayor Stephan Paule and Manfred Hasemann warmly welcomed the numerous supporters and guests. Donata Freifrau Schenck zu Schweinsberg, chairwoman of the DRK Fulda, also addressed everyone present with words of thanks. She emphasized the foundation's goal of helping seniors who were born during or after the war.

The planned investments are more than promising: The foundation is thinking of innovative ideas such as “singing and dancing robots” and virtual walks, which will particularly benefit bedridden seniors. Such projects set completely new standards in the care and entertainment of older people.

Events like this benefit concert raise the necessary funds to make such projects a reality. So it turns out that the community always sticks together when it matters most.
