Jan Delay rocks Butzbach: anniversary show and unforgettable hits!

On July 4, 2025, celebrations will be a priority: Jan Delay, one of the most famous figures in the German music scene, will perform in the historic castle courtyard in Butzbach. The occasion? The 25th anniversary of his music career as part of the “Forever Jan” tour. Opportunity enough to play with his band Disko No. 1 to send the audience into ecstasy with a colorful mix of hip-hop, reggae, soul and funk. The popular song “Oh Jonny” from 2009 was enthusiastically sung along by fans in advance and turned out to be the hit of the evening.

Jan Delay, who has been a defining figure in German pop culture for over 30 years, is grateful for the long-standing support of his fan base. “I grew up with Jan Delay,” reports a concert-goer from Marburg, illustrating the artist’s cross-generational appeal. Before the main act, the rapper “Das Bo” warmed up the audience, which started the energetic evening.

A celebration of diversity

The performance offered more than just his own hits. The band Disko No. 1 is known for presenting creative covers of great classics, including impressive medleys from Nena and Eminem. Thanks to an impressive stage set in Rasta colors and a spectacular light show, the visual spectacle is a pleasure for the senses. The synthesizer for a wide range of sounds benefits musical diversity and creates an atmosphere in which the audience is inevitably carried away.

In addition to catchy hooks, his repertoire also includes profound lyrics that make the audience think - a trademark of Jan Delay. This musical breadth is also evident in his upcoming product, a 5-color vinyl box set, which will be released on November 20, 2023. This includes, among other things, a hardcover book, cassettes, CDs and even a signed shirt, which will give fans a real collector's item. Those interested can look forward to the tracklist, which offers both well-known hits and exclusive new pieces - after all, the anniversary is being celebrated properly!

Next stops on the tour

After his appearance in Butzbach, further concerts are planned in Dortmund, Vienna and Erfurt. If you want to take part, you should get your tickets early. This opportunity to experience Jan Delay live will certainly be an experience not only for old fans, but also for new viewers who want to immerse themselves in the colorful world of his music.

But July in Butzbach has even more to offer: While Jan Delay rocks the stage, the largest Mallorca party in Germany is taking place at the same time with artists like Mia Julia and Mickie Krause. And the weekend is rounded off with the largest brass music festival in the region with Ernst Hutter and the Egerländer Musikanten. So it's an atmospheric festival for all music lovers!

With the exciting upcoming concerts and the after-work hit “Oh Jonny”, Jan Delay continues to be a highlight in the German music landscape and ensures that no eye stays dry.
