Coach Torsten Busch never tires of emphasizing that they want to keep the three points at home.
But what makes Salzgitter so unpredictable? The young team has already experienced ups and downs in their season and is now looking for the necessary consistency. With just five points from four games (two wins) and a high error rate, they are an opponent that should not be underestimated. The Ammerlanders have already shown themselves to be in top form - three wins from four games are a solid basis for the upcoming game.
Return and injuries
A ray of hope for the VSG is the return of Dirk Achtermann to the team. At the same time, however, they have to make do without captain Timo Pundt and Anton Klots, who are still injured. It will be crucial that the team keeps a cool head in critical periods and asserts its own style of play, as coach Busch notes.
There is also another important date in the calendar on Saturday. VSG Ammerland II will play its first home game of the league season against SG Ofenerdiek/Ofen and TSV Winsen/Luhe. After the 3-1 win against FC Schüttorf II, they certainly have the motivation to shine at home.
