Brûlain celebrates the 11th Festival En terres brûlées – A celebration for the environment!

What's going on in Brûlain? Things get really exciting here, because the 11th edition of the environmentally conscious festival “En terres brûlées” will take place on July 18th and 19th, 2025. Well-known and yet fresh, the festival is all about “Retour aux sources”, which translates as “back to the roots”. The event aims to not only offer musical and cultural highlights, but also to demonstrate a strong commitment to ecological values. Volunteer communications officer Inssaf Marah is pleased to open this special event with a craft market where around 15 exhibitors will present their wares.

On Friday evening the band Baluchon will play and heat up the atmosphere with their rural and traditional sounds. The aim is to create a guinguette-like atmosphere where all visitors can feel comfortable. The festival is not only a place for music, but also a space for environmentally conscious initiatives that minimize the carbon footprint and support local producers.

A festival with responsibility

How Youth Action on Climate reports, festivals like “En terres brûlées” are now not only places for celebration, but also platforms for ecological commitment. Many festivals in France are taking steps to reduce waste, recycle and use locally produced organic food. The commitment is high and 75% of festival visitors believe that events should be made more environmentally friendly.

The innovation in sustainability that festivals like “We Love Green” or “Solidays” are driving is particularly relevant. They rely on 100% vegetarian meals and strict waste management concepts to minimize environmental impact. These are approaches that also inspire “En terres brûlées”. Such initiatives actively encourage festival goers to engage in environmentally conscious practices.

Leader in festival culture

France has established itself as a leader in the field of ecological festivals, such as Petit Fute determines. These festivals promote not only entertainment but also cultural exchange and workshops on environmental issues. “En terres brûlées” joins a long list of events that raise awareness of ecological issues while at the same time not neglecting fun.

In Brûlain there will be a lively hustle and bustle on Friday evening, bringing together young and old and creating unforgettable moments. Through the combination of music, crafts and environmentally friendly philosophy, visitors can not only unwind, but also actively contribute to the preservation of our planet.
