Celle Schützenfest 2025: Parking tips and program for a great experience!

The anticipation for the Celle Shooting and Folk Festival is great! From July 18th to 22nd, 2025, the Allerinsel will be the scene of a colorful hustle and bustle that will delight young and old. But while preparations are in full swing, there is some important information to consider when it comes to parking that visitors should not lose sight of.

If you are traveling by car, it is advisable to arrange a parking space well in advance. Parking is limited around the festival site. Celler Presse recommends using the extensive parking facilities on Biermannstrasse. In addition, the Celle district provides 120 free parking spaces on Speicherstrasse. These spaces can be used from Friday, July 18th, from 1 p.m. On the following holidays, i.e. on Saturday and Sunday, the parking spaces can be used all day, while on Monday and Tuesday the usage times only start from 4 p.m. Access to the Allerinsel is then easy via the bridge on Speicherstrasse.

Program highlights of the festival

The festival begins on Friday, July 18th at 2 p.m. and offers a varied program for the entire family. The traditional torchlight parade takes place that same evening at 9:45 p.m., followed by a celebratory tattoo. Another highlight is the Proclamation of the Principal Majesties, which will be celebrated on Monday, July 21st, at 7 p.m. in front of the Theo Wilkens Hall.

If you want to experience a day full of fun and attractions, you shouldn't miss the numerous rides and game stands. From the rollercoaster ride to the giant chain flyer “Fly Over” and the popular duck fishing, there is something for every age group. The over 70 exhibitors will certainly ensure good business with their offers.

Family day and fireworks

A special offer awaits visitors on Tuesday, July 22nd, from 2 p.m. with Family Day. Ladies Night will also be celebrated on Sunday, July 20th, where female visitors can expect discounts of up to 50% on many attractions. The highlights are the two large fireworks displays that will light up the sky on Saturday and Tuesday at 10:45 p.m.

It is also important to note the restrictions on road traffic during the festival. There will be diversions and parking bans on certain days and times. There will be changes to the timetable for bus passengers on Sunday, meaning they will have to change from Schlossplatz to the Central Bus Station (ZOB).

Parking experiences and safety

Responsibility for security and guarding of parking spaces during the event remains a hot topic. EventFAQ provides important information on the organizer's liability. When it comes to the question of security, one thing is clear: the organizer must demonstrate suitable security measures. However, they cannot be held responsible for every theft, especially when it comes to public areas.

It is therefore advisable for park visitors not to leave any valuables in the car and to always be vigilant. The perspective of the average parking lot user also plays a role. Many people realize that the space is provided, but there is not necessarily a guarantee for the safety of the vehicle.

With this information and a good plan, the Celle Shooting and Folk Festival will be an unforgettable experience. If you take care of your vehicle in good time and enjoy the diversity of the festival to the fullest, you are on the right track. Stay safe and have fun celebrating!
