Off to the nostalgic steam ride: Kleinbahn Jan Harpstedt on July 20th!
The historic Jan Harpstedt small railway is entering the next round! On Sunday, July 20th, the traditional steam locomotives will roll again between Harpstedt and Delmenhorst and bring a nostalgic atmosphere to the tracks. Again Weser courier reports, the steam locomotive Anna is now a real gem, traveling with three passenger cars that are over a hundred years old and a 122-year-old mail/baggage car. These cars were lovingly restored by the Delmenhorst-Harpstedter Eisenbahnfreunde (DHEF) workshop team.
On the day of the journey, the trains run twice: the first train leaves Harpstedt at 9:30 a.m., followed by a second at 2:00 p.m. And if that's not enough, you can look forward to the return journeys from Delmenhorst at 10:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. The route leads through picturesque landscapes and stops at charming stations such as Dünsen, Groß Ippener, Kirchseelte and many more, according to information from North24.
Culinary and comfort
The 2025 season has a lot in store. In addition to July 20th, the museum railway will also be running on August 10th and 24th, September 7th and 21st and October 3rd. A very special highlight are the St. Nicholas trips, which take place on the weekends around the second and third Advent and on Christmas Eve. These trips are a real experience for the whole family.
