Free energy advice in Bassum: Register now and save!
In Bassum there will be a breath of fresh air in energy advice from February! The city is opening a new advice center for independent and free energy advice in the Citizens Service, Alte Poststrasse 10. Anyone who is interested in topics relating to energy renovation and the efficient use of energy can stop by here every first Thursday of the month between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. The offer is not tied to where you live - anyone who lives in Bassum, Sulingen, Syke or, from March, in Diepholz can look forward to the support of energy consultant Jens Eberhard Dzialas Weser courier reported.
Access to advice is barrier-free and advice can also be given by telephone. It is advisable for visitors to bring documents such as utility bills or photos of the residential building. Each consultation lasts around 45 minutes and covers topics ranging from efficient building renovation to insulation and glazing. If you have more complex questions, you can also arrange follow-up appointments for a fee for just 40 euros in order to specifically identify specific savings potential. It is always about neutral and independent assessments, without pressure to sell.
Energy efficiency in focus
But why is the topic of energy advice so important? An energy-efficient renovation can significantly reduce energy consumption, which, according to the Consumer advice center in fully renovated buildings is an average of 52 percent. Improving energy efficiency not only increases living comfort, but also the value of the property. Funding for such renovation projects is also available - including from the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) and the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW). The free consultations help you find the right path from planning to implementation.
The essential measures include, for example, effective insulation of the building envelope, the replacement of windows and doors and the optimization of heating and hot water systems. The use of renewable energies can cover heating requirements by up to 40 percent. These points clearly show how important individual and comprehensive advice is for homeowners, tenants and leaseholders so that everyone can benefit from government funding - more about this can be found on the BAFA website.
Well informed through funding
Another advantage of energy advice is the financial support that many owners can apply for. From April 1, 2025, the payment authorization will be abolished and applications will be submitted via the BAFA portal. The funding amount can be up to 650 euros for one- or two-family homes. The prerequisite for this is professional energy advice provided by experts.
Anyone making construction or renovation plans should also be well informed about energy issues. Events and online lectures on topics related to energy saving and renovation offer additional support and enable direct contact with experts. Renovation is not only fun, but can also make a significant contribution to reducing energy costs - a good reason to find out more today!
