NDR Lower Saxony goes on tour: Here we hear your voices!
On August 22, 2025, NDR Lower Saxony started its eagerly awaited infomobile tour through the Emsland and the Osnabrück region. The aim of the campaign, which will last until Lower Saxony Day on August 31st, is to enter into dialogue with the public and collect valuable suggestions for the program. Reporters and correspondents, including the popular figure Schorse, will be on site to talk to citizens and take their concerns seriously.
The tour leads to a total of seven stations. On the first day, the weekly market in Haren from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. kicked off, followed by various events such as “The Dümmer is Burning” in Hüde or the kite festival in Melle. Today, on August 26th, visitors to Meppen can take the opportunity to contribute their opinions and suggestions at the weekly market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and thus actively participate in the design of the program NDR reports.
Invitation to help shape it
Especially on Thursday, August 25th, the NDR Infomobile will be on Markelo Platz in Spelle from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Under the motto “The NDR listens”, the NDR representatives are on site to discuss local topics and concerns. What really concerns people in the region? Which topics do not receive enough attention in NDR? Schorse will also report live from Spelle to encourage interaction with listeners, reports ES Media.
The exchange with the population is not only a friendly dialogue, but also an essential part of public broadcasting work. Article 5 of the Basic Law protects freedom of expression and freedom of the press and emphasizes the responsibility of the media to inform and entertain the public. The NDR, as a public broadcaster that is supported by Lower Saxony and other federal states, is dependent on people's contributions and suggestions in order to do justice to its program supervision Niedersachsen.de is explained.
Another important concern of citizens is addressed with topics such as gravel gardens, which are banned in Lower Saxony. These discussions are part of NDR's promise to listen to people and take their feedback seriously. Every visitor to the tour has the chance to directly influence the program content and thus contribute to improving broadcasting.
Take advantage of the opportunity today in Meppen to become part of this important initiative and contribute your opinion! The NDR wants to know what moves people in Lower Saxony and what issues are important to them.
