Traffic chaos in Gifhorn: Konrad-Adenauer-Straße closed from tomorrow!

From tomorrow, July 7th, 2025, things will get really tight on Konrad-Adenauer-Straße. The road in the north direction will be closed for a longer period of time. The construction work will take place between the Fallerslebener Straße traffic light intersection and the Allerwelle roundabout. The reason for this closure is urgently needed repair work on the high-pressure gas pipeline by the LSW in the area of Konrad-Adenauer-Straße No. 6, as regionalheute.de reports. During the construction work, the southbound direction will remain open, making the situation somewhat easier for residents.

In order to clarify the diversions, the city has given a clear route. Traffic will be redirected via Fallerslebener Straße, Schillerplatz, Allerstraße, Celler Straße and Lüneburger Straße. A construction company employee will also be on site to open the barrier if necessary, which is particularly important for emergency vehicles and buses.

Action in Eyßelheideweg

But there are not only changes on Konrad-Adenauer-Straße! The traffic situation on Eyßelheideweg is also turned upside down. Since May 22nd, renovation work has been taking place on the bus platforms to make them barrier-free. This affects, among others, the Waldesruh, Vogelbeerweg, Maronenweg and Kanalbrücke stops. This work is intended to improve mobility in Gifhorn and was on the list of urban infrastructure measures that can be found at stadt-gifhorn.de.

The asphalt pavement renewal will start on July 3, 2025 and is expected to take eight weeks. Residents must expect restrictions during this period. The complete closure of the Eyßelheideweg between B4 and Hermann-Löns-Weg leads to a one-way street regulation, whereby residents are allowed to drive towards Winkel. In addition, longer waiting times may occur during milling work in the 28th calendar week.

Comprehensive traffic management

Traffic and construction site management plays a central role in such situations. Providers such as HOFFMANN-LEICHTER offer comprehensive planning services to minimize disruptions and take into account the safety requirements of construction sites, as explained on hoffmann-leichter.de. Effective routing and intelligent signage make the traffic situation easier for all road users and reduce local disruptions.

Support in the organization and management of construction sites is essential to ensure that all concerns of residents and road users are kept in mind. This also includes the planning and implementation of suitable measures for traffic management, which must be taken into account in the respective construction phase.

Construction is expected to last until Friday, July 18th. Even after that, remaining work is planned in the coming weeks, which could also involve restrictions. Affected residents will be informed promptly of any changes.

So things remain exciting in Gifhorn, and all road users are asked to be particularly attentive and take note of possible diversions. This ensures safety for everyone!
