Summer in Göttingen will be a little different this year. Instead of the traditionally popular KWP Festival, the 2025 event is canceled and the “Open Sound Festival” is on the program instead. This colorful music festival takes place from June 26th to August 8th, 2025. On a total of six summer evenings, the Göttingen weekly market becomes a stage for live music - without admission. The Open Sound Festival, which takes place under the umbrella of the Göttingen Cultural Summer, offers a diverse program with a focus on different styles of music. Indie, rock, neo-classical, electro and even a little children's pop'n'roll are on offer. Artists such as Dota, Martin Kohlstedt and Kytes, to name just a few, will appear.
