Easter holidays in Göttingen: COGNIGOALS camp for young football talents!
A real highlight for young footballers is coming up in Göttingen: This MF Göttingen is hosting the second COGNIGOALS Camp from March 23rd to 25th. Sports-loving children and young people between the ages of 12 and 17 have come to the right place here if they want to take their technique and decision-making speed to the next level.
The three-day event promises full days of both fun and intensive training. Every day between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., participants are challenged in practical units on two-footedness and cognitive forms of play. The program also includes exciting reaction and technique challenges that not only challenge the participants' physical fitness but also their mental flexibility.
Cognitive sports research as a basis
In the background of the COGNIGOALS camps is the exciting research into the connection between sport and cognition. A research project led by Prof. Dr. Achim Conzelmann and Prof. Dr. Claudia Roebers shows that sporting activities can activate certain brain regions that are crucial for attention and memory. These findings flow directly into the camp organization and not only offer the participants an increase in their sporting abilities, but also support their cognitive development.
With a maximum of fifteen participants per camp, individual support is guaranteed. Personal coaching will help players better recognize and develop their strengths. The registration option is accessible via the camp website: Register here!
Focus on sport and joy
The combination of practical technique training and mental decision-making training provides a perfect basis not only to improve on the pitch, but also to promote strategic thinking. The playful approach is particularly important for many children and young people, because fun and enthusiasm for sport are the top priority.
If you look at the participants' sporting development, it is no secret that this training method is also beneficial for children's concentration and working memory. This has already been examined in various studies that show that coordination exercises and cognitive challenges can have positive effects on school, as shown in research shown becomes.
In short: If you want to do something for your football skills and your mental performance during the Easter holidays, you shouldn't miss the COGNIGOALS Camp in Göttingen. Family, friends and a lot of fun at the ball are guaranteed!
