BossHoss with confetti mishaps: cheers and laughter in the Capitol!

On October 4th, 2025, Hanover was the venue for an unforgettable concert by The BossHoss, who are on the road with their “Back to the Boots” tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first album. In the trashy clubs where the band once performed, around 1,600 fans filled the Capitol to experience the explosive mix of country, western and rock live.

There were special features right at the beginning: technical problems occurred with the confetti cannons during the concert. The security, technicians and the tour manager had to improvise and throw the confetti load manually into the audience. Singer Alec “Boss Burns” Völkel couldn’t help but laugh and commented humorously on the unexpected situation. Fans may have been pleased with the band's eye-catching outfits - white Stetsons and cowboy style with cowhide appliqués were on display on stage.

A musical fireworks display

The fans enjoyed numerous original compositions such as “Lions den”, “Dance the boogie” and “Don’t gimme that”. Cover versions of well-known hits were also part of the evening. They ranged from Tony Joe White's "Polk Salad Annie" to Dolly Parton's "Jolene." The mood became particularly heated when Völkel asked the audience about rock 'n' roll and then played a subdued version of "Burn Baby burn". Other highlights included Outkast’s “Hey Ya” and Cameo’s “Word Up.” What was pretty special was that two dozen women from the audience were invited on stage - a real crowd pleaser!

The upcoming duo concert by Carolin & Daniel von Glasperlenspiel at Timberjacks, which will take place on March 28, 2026 in Cologne, will also be unforgettable. Here, guests can look forward to a free welcome drink, a rich flying BBQ buffet at midnight and an after-show party with DJ Monsieur Complex from Paris. The ticket prices are more than fair at 99.00 euros for an evening full of big hits like “Geiles Leben” and “Never Forget”.

Sustainability in festival management

Parallel to the live events, the demands on organizers are growing, especially with regard to music festivals. How metaller.de reports, the organizers will face new challenges and opportunities in 2025. Sustainability is a central theme; Environmental awareness is increasingly shaping planning, from reducing single-use plastic to reusable cups to local food and drink partnerships. This commitment is underpinned by innovative measures such as Green Tickets, which enable visitors to offset their CO2 emissions.

In addition, modern technologies offer exciting support for future events. Using data analytics to create personalized offers, as well as implementing AI-powered access controls, help increase visitors' sense of security. Accessibility and diversity on the stages are also becoming more important, which strengthens the sense of community among festival visitors.

Whether at The BossHoss in Hanover or at Timberjacks with Glasperlenspiel, enjoying music will remain an indispensable part of the cultural scene in 2025 and brings people together - despite the challenges that need to be overcome.
