The incident occurred on Vahrenwalder Straße, which has since been cordoned off by the police. Several of the injured had to be taken to nearby hospitals. Particularly noteworthy is the discovery of another injured person near the main train station, about four kilometers from the crime scene. It is still unclear whether and how this incident is connected to the shooting. Police subsequently arrested a suspected perpetrator near the crime scene and are currently conducting further investigations into other suspects.
Investigations are in full swing
According to the latest information from the police, the injured include three suspects: a 19-year-old from Hanover and two 27-year-olds, one from the Hanover region and one from Hamburg. They are suspected of being involved in the fatal altercation. Urgent medical intervention was necessary as all three sustained injuries that are not life-threatening. In fact, the suspects are receiving medical care and are under police supervision ZDF reported.
The police have seized possible means of crime, but there is currently no precise information on the number and type of weapons used. It remains unclear whether other people were involved in the violent conflict or are on the run.
