In the heart of northern Germany there is exciting news that affects both culture and sport. On Saturday, August 16, 2025, the popular show Nordtour ran on NDR, which is known for its focus on landscapes, places of longing and culinary delicacies. The second broadcast followed on Sunday, August 17, 2025, early in the morning. The viewer could look forward to interesting stories about lifestyle and original people. The band greenbeats from Wallenhorst was particularly in the spotlight, causing a stir with their creative instruments such as suitcases, shopping carts and children's toys. Their last tour was sold out and demand for tickets continues to increase. Now is the ideal time for the band to move into a new headquarters and thus bring a breath of fresh air into their projects.
Another highlight in the region is the “United in the North” campaign, which focuses on putting small clubs in the spotlight. A special event location is dragon boating in Güstrow, where people with and without disabilities get active together. This initiative is dedicated to reducing prejudice and increasing self-confidence.

There is also a culinary focus at the Internorga trade fair, where Ferdinando Manna from Hamburg was honored as the “best pizza baker in Europe”. His career began near Naples, and now he delights the guests of Bolle Pizza in Ottensen.

The coast is not forgotten either. From April 6th, sea wildlife fishing excursions will be available where guests can spot gray seals and harbor seals - a real experience for nature lovers. These tours last 90 minutes and are ideal two hours before or after low tide.

An outstanding example of inclusion in sport is the ETV golfer project in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel, which offers people with trisomy 21 a platform and was awarded the Werner Otto Prize worth 5,000 euros. The training takes place here in the summer months on a site near Quickborn. The DLRG Beach Festival Tour also contributes to education about safe behavior on the water and combines theoretical knowledge with playful elements.
Langballigau is a natural retreat with its historic orchards, which form the largest apple growing area in Angeln. Not only is the area picturesque, but it is also home to the Whale Stone, which commemorates a beached fin whale from 1911.
