In Buchholz at Möbel Kraft there will be no Oktoberfest this year, and that is dampening the mood in the town. The decision was made by the management and many fans of the festival are disappointed by the cancellation. It wasn't just the atmospheric atmosphere that attracted people in lederhosen and dirndls, but also the tapping of the beer keg by the mayor of Buchholz, which was always a highlight of the event. On the weekends, regional music groups provided the best entertainment in the festival tent, while the festival host served culinary delicacies at family-friendly prices. In addition, entry to the event was always free, which certainly contributed to its great success. Many guests reserved tables in advance for their groups of friends to celebrate together.
Although the disappointment is great, there is a glimmer of hope: management has hinted that Oktoberfest could possibly take place again next year, keeping anticipation alive for future celebrations. For everyone who still wants to get something positive out of the festival, there will be the opportunity to purchase the official Oktoberfest™ beer mug 2025 from September 1, 2025. Pre-orders are already possible now. While the price has not yet been announced, the design of the new, award-winning motif will honor the work of waiters, showmen and other Oktoberfest supporters and is guaranteed to bring home a piece of festivity.

The new beer mug, made by the traditional company RASTAL, which is a long-standing license partner of the city of Munich, is made of salt-glazed stoneware. Available in a limited edition, it promises not only quality, but also a typical Munich character with international appeal. Individuality is guaranteed, because the traditional production method means different variations are possible, which will give each jug its own charm.
It remains to be seen whether the absence of Oktoberfest will create new opportunities this time. Maybe the people of Buchholz will use the time to build even more anticipation for the next festival.
