4,600 euros for inclusive projects: Charity campaign inspires Bevern!

An exciting weekend awaits visitors to the Beveran spring riding tournament: The charity campaign that was launched as part of this event not only promises exciting competitions, but also supports important social projects. As the Holzminden district reports, the proceeds from an auction amounting to 4,600 euros will go to the KVHS Holzminden production school, which is dedicated to supporting young people in their professional careers.

The auction includes unique items such as an artificial horse, a beach chair and an innovative barbecue pavilion. This pavilion, which was created in collaboration with the Harz-Weser-Werkstatt and the Reitz company, is much more than just a swing seat. It offers space for eight people around a table with an integrated gas grill. The two owners of the Rewe markets in Bevern and Holzminden, Maria and Vitali Altergott, actively support the event, while Christian Diekmann, the workshop teacher at the production school, accepts the donations.

The barbecue pavilion as a highlight

The barbecue pavilion itself, which is 2.30 meters high and made of robust steel, is presented as a truly unique piece. According to Sebastian Pöppe, the workshop and site manager at Harz-Weser-Werke, the structure can be rebuilt at another location if necessary. An integrated solar module ensures that even smartphones can be charged. Gerald Schoppe, the organizer of the riding tournament, particularly appreciates the craftsmanship that went into the project. “I’m pleased that we can offer such creative solutions,” said Schoppe.

Another central element of the auction is the now over 30 hours of work that have been invested in the project. So far, 15 to 20 people have been involved in the work, which has noticeably strengthened the local community. The idea behind the charity campaign is not only to create art, but also to use the proceeds for inclusive projects. The objective is clear: at least 5,000 euros should be raised to support further voluntary commitments in the region.

Promoting inclusion

The donations and the funds raised contribute to the further development of inclusive projects in the region, which also includes the production of play equipment in the production school. Inclusion is an important topic in many social projects such as bagfa explained. Different actors come together here to develop projects that serve people in their diversity.

The upcoming announcement of the proceeds and the art object that will be unveiled at the next horse show are already being planned. Gerald Schoppe emphasizes the importance of inclusive projects: “Shared experiences create positive experiences for everyone involved.” The Beveran spring riding tournament is not only a festival for horse lovers, but also an important contribution to the community.
