Dinghy tour for children: There are still places available in the holiday program!

In Cologne it's all about active fun for children! A highlight this summer is the rubber boat tour, which is organized by the DLRG Holzminden. It takes place on July 31st and promises to be an unforgettable experience for the little ones. The tour leads from Boffzen to Holzminden on the Weser and offers a unique outdoor adventure.

Participation is child-friendly because there is no age limit. However, the young adventurers must have a “bronze” swimming badge in order to be able to move safely on the water. The meeting point is at 9:30 a.m. at the boat pier in Boffzen, where participants also receive comprehensive instructions on the boats and life jackets. After a three-hour trip downriver, the tour ends with a barbecue in the DLRG boathouse on the Stahler Ufer in Holzminden. The social gathering after the shared adventure relieves hunger and strengthens the community among the participants. The event is scheduled to end at 2 p.m.

Registration and further information

holzminden.dlrg.de/onlineanmelde take place. Parents also have the option of receiving further information by email. These events show how important the DLRG local group in Holzminden takes the promotion of sporting activities and safety in the water, as well holzminden.dlrg.de reported.

The DLRG Holzminden is also planning further activities in the future. Next year there are several inflatable boat tours on the program that are proving very popular. Children of any age who have a “bronze” swimming badge are eligible to take part. Preschool children who have already learned to swim can also take part without this badge. A small contribution of 15 euros per participant will be required for advance payment to the DLRG bank account.

Learning to swim for children

To meet the requirements for participating in such exciting water sports activities, swimming lessons are crucial. The DLRG offers a variety of swimming courses that start from the age of six. These include courses for beginners that teach basic skills such as breathing and gliding. These courses are not only designed to be playful, but also extremely effective, as the offer from oberes-schlichemtal.dlrg.de shows.

In the advanced courses, the knowledge and skills are further deepened, and after one course at the latest, the children should be able to act safely in the water and obtain their swimming badges. In this way, every child is prepared in the best possible way for participation in events such as the upcoming rubber boat tour.

Get into the water and have fun! These exciting offers from DLRG Holzminden show how sporting activities and safety in the water go hand in hand - a great opportunity for children to learn new skills and have a lot of fun at the same time!
