SVG Lüneburg starts with a win and shines in the Bundesliga!
Welcome to the exciting start of the SVG Lüneburg season! Today, October 29, 2025, coach Stefan Kreutzer's team was able to continue their impressive series and achieve a clear 3-0 win in the home game against TSV Haching Munich. The Lüneburgers have achieved the feat of starting the Bundesliga with three wins in a row and at the same time winning nine sets in a row, which gave the fans a great experience. The encounter was characterized by exciting moments - the opening set in particular was quite turbulent with a few service errors, but towards the end SVG finally pulled away. This became increasingly clear as the game progressed.
In the second set, the Lüneburgers showed all their skills and managed to quickly open up a lead of ten points. What was particularly impressive here was the high quality of serves and assumptions, which put SVG well ahead of the hosts. The third set remained in the balance for a long time and again it was an exciting duel that went back and forth until the score was 18:18. In the end, SVG secured victory after 76 minutes of play, with a solid attack rate of 54 percent - better than that of Munich. MVP of the game was setter Santeri Välimaa, who once again showed his class, while Christopher Byam stood out with 14 points.
A review of the season
The start of the new season couldn't be better for SVG Lüneburg. The fact that the team has already started with three wins not only shows that the chemistry within the team is good, but also that the hard work in training is paying off. The fans in the hall felt the enthusiasm and were able to enjoy every ball action.
With this excellent performance behind us, it will be exciting to see what the coming games will bring. SVG has improved enormously both in terms of play and tactics and shows that it is a serious competitor in the league this year.
By the way: With all the exciting developments, there is also interesting technical background to the term “SVG”, which not only plays a role here in Lüneburg. SVG, which stands for Scalable Vector Graphics, refers to an XML-based format for vector graphics that has been developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) since 1999 and is used for interactive and animated graphics. Thanks to this technology, graphics can be scaled without loss of quality, which is particularly important in the online world. The format allows information to be presented efficiently and supports a variety of web applications.
SVG Lüneburg has that “certain something” both on the field and in digital terms. The fans can look forward to an exciting season and we can't wait to see how the team continues to perform!
