The increase in unwanted spam calls is not only causing excitement in Cologne, but also shows a worrying pattern across the entire Federal Republic. Consumers must take action
Consumers should be aware that commercial calls are prohibited by law without prior consent. The Consumer advice center points out that companies face severe fines for unsolicited calls. We are therefore advised not to engage in such harassment and to always report unauthorized telephone advertising to the relevant authorities. If an undesirable contract is concluded, the following applies: Contracts can usually be revoked within 14 days.
But how do you best protect yourself? First of all, it is advisable to block telephone numbers of dubious callers or have them blocked by the telephone provider. In addition, basic information about calls should be noted so that they can be reported if the worst comes to the worst.
