In 2023, 159 companies were active on 2,249 hectares in Lower Saxony, and the harvest was also impressive this year - around 9,923 tons of blueberries were successfully harvested. Lower Saxony remains the leading federal state in blueberry cultivation, with almost 65 percent of the nationwide cultivated area.
