Music festival in Vechta: Celebrate Frank Sinatra in the Metropol Theater!
In Vechta this November you can look forward to one musical delicacy after another. The “Time for Music” concert series promises exciting evenings, which will take place on November 2nd, 2025 at 4 p.m “Trio Oster-Hermes-Moritz: Great American Songbook” begins. With the talented Sophia Oster on piano and vocals, Caris Hermes on bass and Raimund Moritz on saxophone, the focus is on the compositions of Duke Ellington.
But the highlight of the series is the Frank Sinatra evening, which takes place onNovember 21, 2025 at 8 p.mtakes place in the Metropol Theater. The performance, originally planned in the town hall, was postponed due to high demand so that as many Sinatra fans as possible could experience the musical-biographical journey through time Jens Sörensen and the big band “Horntime”. On the occasion of Frank Sinatra's 110th birthday, Sörensen interprets his iconic hits such as "Come fly with me", "Fly me to the moon" and "My Way" in an authentic way and revives the legendary singer's attitude to life.

The concert series includes a total of four events:

- 16. November: „Philharmonia Streichquartett Frankfurt – Gershwin plays Gershwin“
- 21. November: „Frank Sinatra – Sein Leben, seine Musik“ mit Jens Sörensen und der Bigband Horntime
- 30. November: „Stile Antico“ mit Anna Khomichko und Maryana Osipova
The artists performing bring the highest quality to the stage. The Philharmonia String Quartet in particular, known as one of the most exciting orchestras in Germany, will spice up the evening on November 16th with Michel Gershwin, the soloist described as the “devil violinist with an angel’s voice”.
Tickets are available for anyone who doesn't want to miss the concerts. These can be purchased at various ticket offices and online at vechta.de/tickets at the price of15 euros(reduced10 euros) can be purchased. It's worth being quick, because demand for the Sinatra evening is huge and the best seats are booked out quickly.
