First Wümmefest: Musical highlight for the Oyten region!

The anticipation in Oyten is growing because two festivals are coming up. The newly launched Wümmefest is scheduled to take place on the Backsberg from August 1st to 3rd, 2025 and is organized by Abro-Team GmbH, which also organizes the popular Moyn Festival. Again Weser courier reports, Abro-Team GmbH would like to promote local culture with this new event and ensure a pleasant atmosphere.

At the Wümmefest, visitors can expect a colorful program full of music, food and community. For three days, the stage will be played by live bands, DJs and a variety of music genres - from groovy beats to well-known hits. The musical highlights include the live band Return, the group Goodbeats and the artists Parnellia, Tim Jansen and Blyke. It is a celebration for everyone, young and old, where children are also catered for thanks to a special family area.

A celebration for the region

What sets the Wümmefest apart from other events is its narrow local focus. The event is not designed to provide overnight accommodation and is primarily aimed at the local population. Several hundred visitors are expected per day, in contrast to the Moyn Festival which attracts thousands. The opening times are family-friendly: On Friday it starts from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and on Sunday the festival starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m.

A special treat: Entry is free on Sundays, and on Saturdays before 6 p.m. you can even enter for free. After 6 p.m. entry costs just ten euros. Special attention is paid to the gastronomy, which focuses on sustainable and local dishes so that everyone can taste the regional flair of the festival. Advance sales times for residents' tickets to the Moyn Festival are also available: These can be purchased on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Moyn Festival is just around the corner

Directly after the Wümmefest, the Moyn Festival will take place on the Backsberg from August 21st to 24th, which has been attracting Cologne residents and the entire region for years. Here you can find detailed information, among other things: moynfestival.de.

So, don't forget: On one of the first weekends in August there is a very special festival on the program that you shouldn't miss! All music lovers and families are warmly invited to enjoy the colorful atmosphere and let the music take their fancy.
