New highlights in the Verden town hall: after-work party & more!

A lot is happening in the Verden town hall! Since the event industry has changed after the Corona years, Silvia Voige, who directs the fortunes of the town hall, has put together an exciting program. Changes in ticket purchases, which are now made at shorter notice, are being responded to by new event formats that are not only compatible with the masses, but also accommodate niche events. This development is intended not only to enliven the town hall, but also to attract a wider audience. The first big highlight is just around the corner: the after-work party on Friday, November 7th is the kick-off event and promises to be a real blast. DJ Ulrik Borcherdt creates a good atmosphere with music from the 80s, 90s and 2000s, and best of all: entry is free! Snacks and drinks in cooperation with the E-Center round off the experience.

As weser-kurier.de reports, Voige is planning several after-work events per year in the future, which could range from two to four events if the first one is well received. And the commitment doesn't stop there! On Sunday, December 14th, Yared Dibaba will perform with his mud sliders - a Christmas throwback is promised, during which the audience will be entertained in Low German. The show starts at 6 p.m. and tickets are already available via Reservix or Nordwest-Ticket.

A versatile program

In addition, Voige has new events in the calendar that offer something for every taste. On Friday, March 13th, the well-known author Axel Petermann will read from his book “The Psyche of Evil”. The reading is accompanied by the talented pianist Benny Grenz, who provides the musical accompaniment and also allows questions after the reading.

Things get a little more swinging on Friday, April 17th, when the little swing shower takes the stage. Here, visitors can look forward to a Lindy Hop event combined with a dance workshop. This will certainly make the evening a vibrant experience for all dance lovers!

Another highlight of the program is the concert by the Mondo orchestra on Friday, September 25th, entitled “Tango meets Gypsy”. Music lovers can also look forward to the performance of the Bon Jovi tribute band Bounce on Friday, October 2nd. This band will be celebrating their 25th anniversary next year, and that promises to be a nostalgic evening.

New ideas and perspectives

Verden can be proud of the town hall, which now offers space for around 600 visitors and is also appreciated by comedy greats such as Atze Schröder. With a budget of 20,000 euros for her own events, Silvia Voige has shown a good knack for putting together varied and high-quality events. The good organization and the great atmosphere at the events are often praised by visitors, and Ulrik Borcherdt, who works with Voige, also plays a central role here.

With a clear view of the future, there are several ideas in the pipeline, including possibly a revival of the popular “Hallo Verden” festival. The anticipation for a colorful mix of music, dance and entertainment in the town hall can hardly grow any longer.

Tickets for the announced events are expected to be available from the beginning of November, so that anyone interested can quickly secure what is waiting for them.
