Top foal at Verden: Young breeder impresses jury with Vitus!

The horse breeding club's (PZV) foal tour recently took place in the beautiful region around Verden, where an impressive performance by young breeder Salome Marie Scheifele came into the spotlight. Her foal, which came to the auction under the illustrious name Vitus van Scheifele, not only won the hearts of the spectators, but also took first place among 38 colts. The still young breath of success should already be blowing around her nose, because the three and a half month old son of the sire Venturo was one of the most expensive participants at the Hanoverian Association's open-air auction at the end of May, as the Weser courier reported.

The presentation took place as part of a tour that included several stops, including the Baumgart family's Schwartze Hof and the committed Dittmer family of breeders from Kirchlinteln-Lehringen. The finale of this exciting event was organized by the Luttmann family in Klein Heins, where the top animals were celebrated again. The quality of the foals presented made the judges rave about the high level of the breeders, noted Roland Metz, who also acts as auction manager at the Oldenburg Breeding Association. What is particularly noteworthy is that a bay daughter of Be Sure/Rubin Royal was crowned the winner of the filly foals, whose breeding business is run by the Clüver family from Langwedel-Völkersen.

Foal championship in sight

The foal tour also anticipated a look into the future: on July 6th, the foal championships will be held during the Lohberg tournament of the Graf von Schmettow riding club. Other promising candidates have already been nominated for this competition, including colts from Franco Nero/Londontime and fillies from Bonds/Escolar I and Ogano Sitte/Stolzenberg. A gray stallion by Diacontinus/Chacco Blue born on May 1st was recognized as the top foal with jumping pedigree this competition season.

All horse lovers already have an exciting outlook on the upcoming auctions. The daily training sessions of the auction horses are a unique opportunity for those interested to experience the four-legged talents up close. The first training dates have already been set, while the auction horses will arrive on Monday June 31st. The news doesn't stop there: From 2025, the Hanover Association will have a new partner for advertising and ad processing. Matthaes Medien GmbH & Co. KG from Stuttgart will be the next contact point for communication in the field of horse breeding. This renowned company has established itself in the industry as a hippological specialist publisher, and both the agency and the association have high expectations for future cooperation.
