Shock on the B 212: Four injured after a head-on collision!
On Friday morning, October 31, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the B 212 between Berne and Lemwerder, in which a total of four people were injured. At around 5:50 a.m., a 19-year-old woman from Hamburg was driving her VW Polo towards Lemwerder when, for reasons that are still unclear, she crossed into the oncoming lane.
The head-on collision with a Dacia Sandero, which was driven by a 39-year-old driver from Stuhr, was unavoidable. A 69-year-old driver from Lemwerder, who was driving a VW Touran, was fortunately able to get out of the way in time, but there was a side collision.
Injuries and damage
In the accident, the 19-year-old driver of the VW Polo and her two 18-year-old passengers from Berne and the driver of the Dacia Sandero suffered minor injuries. All injured people were taken to hospitals for further treatment. However, the driver and passenger of the VW Touran remained uninjured. The cars, especially the VW Polo and the Dacia Sandero, were no longer drivable after the collision and had to be towed away.
The police estimate the total damage at around 20,000 euros. The B 212 was completely closed for around two hours in order to carry out rescue measures and determine the cause of the accident. This caused minor traffic disruptions, but police said they were not permanent.
