U19 Cup showdown: Hoffenheim challenges Wolfsburg to a duel!

What's coming up? Next Saturday, November 8th, 2025, the U19s of TSG Hoffenheim will meet VfL Wolfsburg. This DFB Junior Cup is of great importance for both teams. The kick-off in the AOK Stadium takes place at 12 p.m. Hoffenheim would like to catapult themselves into the quarter-finals with a win, while Wolfsburg already has an impressive record as leaders of the DFB youth league Group B with nine wins from nine games. TSG Hoffenheim reports that the U19s are just three wins away from a possible quarter-final place.

On the other hand, VfL Wolfsburg's U19s can look back on a flawless series. Last weekend they won convincingly 3-0 at Halleschen FC. With a clear understanding of the game and dominance on the ball, they demonstrated their ambition to also win the DFB Cup. Coach Daniel Bauer praised his boys' patience and paid respect to the players for their fighting performance. VfL Wolfsburg remains the clear favorite.

More youth games on Saturday

But it's not just the U19s on the agenda. TSG Hoffenheim's U17s also have great ambitions. They welcome 1. FC Nürnberg in their home game on Saturday at 2 p.m. and could secure their place in League A with a win. Hoffenheim recently won strongly 4-0 against SpVgg Greuther Fürth and is currently in first place in Group D of the DFB youth league with 24 points. The Nuremberg competitor is only in third place with 17 points. There's a lot to get here too!

Hoffenheim's U16 will play at 1. FC Heidenheim at 1 p.m., while the U15 will visit VfB Stuttgart. Here the two teams are only separated by three points, which makes the whole thing particularly exciting. The U14, on the other hand, will compete in a test match against FC Wacker Innsbruck from 10:30 a.m., while the smaller age groups, U13 and U12, will compete away in Frankfurt and Wieseck.

Historic successes in the DFB Junior Cup

A look back at the juniors' previous DFB Cup victories shows that TSG Hoffenheim beat SC Freiburg 3-2 last season and thus took home the title. Statistics DFB lists this year's winners and shows the impressive successes of the competition. Hoffenheim will face defending champions VfL Wolfsburg, who are also among the elite in this league.

The junior games promise excitement and are a showcase for future talent in German football. Fans can look forward to exciting duels and great sporting moments. Who will secure a place in the quarter-finals? That will be shown on Saturday!
