New café Zdrasti” opens in Bochum’s Kortumstrasse – croffles are trendy!
Something exciting is happening at Kortumstrasse 54 in Bochum: After the closure of the popular Cinnamood branch, a new café called “Zdrasti” will soon be opening there. How Ruhr24 reports, Petar Grigorov, the former branch manager of Cinnamood, has taken the initiative and will implement his new concept in the same premises.
For Grigorov, the decision to open his own cafe did not come out of the blue. He drew conclusions from the economic situation of the Cinnamood chain, which was known for its cinnamon rolls but ultimately had to close for financial reasons. With the new café, Grigorov brings his Bulgarian roots into play - the name “Zdrasti” means “hello” in Slavic languages and is intended to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Croffles and creative drinks
The highlight of the new offer at Zdrasti are the so-called “croffles”, a delicious mix of croissants and waffles. Here you can choose between sweet variations such as strawberry, Oreo and pistachio or savory toppings such as tuna and salmon. Prices range between 3.50 and 5 euros, which should offer something for all palates. The range of drinks on offer is also impressive: from over eleven different types of matcha to a variety of iced coffees, everything is on offer here, with prices for the drinks being between 5 and 6 euros Wha found out.
Grigorov also plans to work with various delivery services to make it easy to bring his specialties home. This is particularly interesting for anyone who can hardly find time to visit a café in their hectic everyday life. And if you're curious about the café's progress, you can easily follow it via Zdrasti's Instagram channel.
Renovation and team
However, before the café can open its doors, extensive renovation work needs to be done. The entire interior is to be completely renovated, new furniture is planned and technical work such as renovating the kitchen is also on the agenda. The most important thing is probably the transfer of most of the employees from the former Cinnamood branch, which Grigorov wants to help implement his new concept quickly and efficiently.
Grigorov brings with him solid experience as an entrepreneur: he previously successfully ran a model shop, which should help him run his new café. His decision to now start in the catering sector rides on the trend of solid franchise models that can be of great help in the industry. A stable and fast-growing catering industry like Franchise check describes, promises an exciting time for start-ups.
An exact opening date for Zdrasti has not yet been set as the renovation work and the necessary permits still need to be completed. In the meantime, the people of Bochum can look forward to a new gastronomic point of contact that offers fresh ideas and an exciting concept - “Hello”, Zdrasti!
