Bonner SC signs Mesic: A new signing with power for the midfield!
A new wind at Bonner SC: Haris Mesic is the new man in the defensive midfield. The 22-year-old joined Bonner SC after a two-year spell at 1. FC Bocholt and is motivated to take on the challenge. He was able to convince those responsible during his two-week trial training, which led to his signing. After his time at Bocholt ended, in which he played 42 games, he was initially without a club and has now found a new start at Bonner SC. Markus Arendt, the club's technical director, spoke of a clear need for action in the six position and praised Mesic's physical attributes that he can bring to the team.
Mesic played his first competitive game on Wednesday evening when he was in the starting lineup in the 0-0 draw against Velbert. The debut is a first step on the way to establishing yourself in the team and winning over the fans. Coach Björn Mehnert, who had already worked with Mesic in Bocholt, sees the new addition as a valuable addition.
The way to Bonn
Mesic also trained at KFC Uerdingen before ultimately choosing Bonn. The change took place after deadline day within the Regionalliga West and was announced in the club media on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The decision wasn't easy, but the business card at Bonner SC convinced him.
For Bonner SC, the question now arises as to how quickly Mesic will integrate into the team. The next challenge awaits the team next weekend. After the encounter in Velbert, there will be a game against SV Rödinghausen, followed by a match in the Lower Rhine Cup against FC Wegberg-Beeck. The coming matchdays could therefore be an ideal stage for Mesic to demonstrate his talent.
A look at the regional league
The Regionalliga West is currently in transition. In the last few weeks there have been numerous transfers that have regrouped the teams. An overview of the most recent changes shows that there were many market value updates in the league after September 5th.
