Bottroper Kraftwerk: Exclusive beer tasting strengthens the community!
Something is happening in Bottrop! On October 4th, the Bottrop power plant is hosting an extraordinary beer tasting that is worth seeing. Arthur Riedel, known for Bottrop beer, and studio manager Sandra Höhnisch are not only looking forward to an exciting event, but also to the community coming together. The Kraftwerk aims to strengthen general cohesion and create an atmosphere in which all members feel welcome and valued. Community spirit should be promoted not only during sports, but also at social events. Members often meet outside of training, which further strengthens their relationship.
At the announced beer tasting evening, four very special beers are on the tasting list. Arthur Riedel will not only introduce the types of beer to the participants, but also explain their raw materials. Matching dishes should round off the unique taste experience. In the second part of the event, visitors can look forward to types of beer that are usually not available in stores. “We want to do something good for our members,” explains Sandra Höhnisch, adding that the studio contributes to the costs in order to provide an unforgettable experience. Participation is exclusive to Kraftwerk members and registration takes place directly in the studio. If there is great interest, the event could even take place a second time.
Magnificent drinking culture
But what would an event like this be without the significant importance of beer in our culture? To honor the tradition that has grown over centuries, we take a look at the many facets of the popular drink. In addition to being valued as a refreshing drink, beer has a long history that dates back to ancient times. Did you know that the term “beer” even appears in funerals? Today it can sometimes be used figuratively, although the famous “beer” is actually a type of coffin carrying frame. An interesting connection to the historical significance of beer, which extends to ancient Egyptian embalming practices.
The fascination with beer continues unbroken. It is not only a popular drink, but also a symbol of community and conviviality. These aspects are at the forefront of the beer tasting at Kraftwerk Bottrop, which on October 4th will give all members the opportunity to go beyond enjoyment and discover new tastes and stories. But before that happens, the members can look forward to a wine tasting on September 20th - further opportunities to strengthen solidarity. It remains exciting!
