Berghofen Dart Club exceeds fundraising target for children's hospice!
In the heart of Dortmund, consideration is very important. The Berghofen dart club DC Fehlwurf 20/15 recently celebrated its tenth anniversary with a remarkable initiative: a total of 8,223 euros were collected in three charity campaigns to support the outpatient children's and youth hospice service in Dortmund. The club not only exceeded its original target amount of 7,500 euros, but also showed how much commitment and cohesion there is in the community. We in Dortmund reports that the check presentation to Birgit Lindstedt, project manager at the German Children's Hospice Services, caused great joy.
This year's charity campaigns had the motto "Three events - one goal: Help!" So it all started with an exciting charity dart tournament in the Heimsoth restaurant in mid-August. There was great joy when more and more guests and participants started talking to each other and supporting the good cause. The highlight followed at the end of August with a charity concert. Dirk Leandro, Jeff Good and Matthias “Kasche” Kartner, among others, appeared here to further boost support Dortmund foundation portal.
Diverse events for a good cause
A children's and village festival rounded off the activities and brought young and old together. On the KFZ Student premises on Berghofer Straße there were numerous offers for the little guests such as bouncy castles, face painting and the popular teddy clinic. This diversity and the opportunity to spend time with friends and family promoted a sense of community and mobilized many donors.
The funds collected from these campaigns flow directly into the work of the Dortmund outpatient child and youth hospice service, which supports families with seriously ill children in the region. This important task can only be maintained through donations, as children's hospice work is often underfunded and is only partially covered by health insurance companies, which further underlines the need for such initiatives Mengede Intact.
The DC Fehlwurf 20/15 was founded in August 2015 by four dart enthusiasts and now has ten members. These community activities are not only a sign of the willingness to help in Dortmund, but also a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your own anniversary in an appropriate setting. The positive response and the impressive amount of donations show that the association has a good hand when it comes to bringing people together and mobilizing them for a good cause.
In times when solidarity and support for families struggling with the most serious illnesses are becoming increasingly important, the Berghofen Dart Club is sending a signal of hope and cohesion. It remains to be hoped that future events will make a similar contribution to supporting children's hospice work.
