Dinslaken celebrates a liberating away win against Aldekerk!

Last weekend, MTV Rheinwacht Dinslaken experienced a celebration of joy when the team finally achieved their first away win of the season after a dry spell. The team of player-coach Robert Jakobs prevailed against the TV Aldekerk reserves with 31:24 (16:11). This was not only the first away win this season, but also the first win since November 8th, when Dinslaken defeated TV Lobberich. The success now gives the team valuable breathing room in the relegation battle and significantly increases the gap to the relegation zone North Rhine news report.

From the start, Dinslaken showed a concentrated performance, especially in defense. With a five-goal lead at halftime, the basis for victory was laid. Although Aldekerk managed to reduce the deficit to two goals at the beginning of the second half (15:17 in the 34th minute), Dinslaken was quickly able to pull away. Fynn Frenk in goal proved to be a support, while Marco Banning, the sporting director, had to step in at short notice and also saved an important seven-meter penalty.

TV Aldekerk is back

The TV Aldekerk team also found a reason to celebrate: On the same weekend they got their first away win of the season with a 30:27 (15:11) against TuS 82 Opladen. This positive development brings Aldekerk closer to the lower midfield of the table with 6:18 points, which gives the team new hope Rhenish Post reported.

Supported by around 80 fans in Leverkusen, Aldekerk showed a strong performance. Julian Mumme and David Hansen led the team with a total of 13 goals. The Opladen team even took the lead for a short time, but Aldekerk scored important goals in the majority and ultimately secured the victory. Coach Tim Gentges was positive about his team's performance and is now looking forward to the next game against HSG Dutenhofen-Münchholzhausen.

After these two successes it is clear: the teams are fighting for every point and every game has its own story. While Dinslaken wants to get close to secured places thanks to his self-confidence after the victory, Aldekerk is pursuing the goal of working his way further up.
