FC Schalke 04 has landed a real transfer coup by signing Gerrit Wegkamp on loan from MSV Duisburg. The 32-year-old striker is supposed to strengthen the U23 team of the Royal Blues and has the trust of U23 coach Jakob Fimpel, who describes Wegkamp as an “absolute dream striker”. The attacker started his career at VfL Osnabrück in 2011 and then played for Fortuna Düsseldorf, Bayern Amateur and MSV Duisburg, among others.
