Originally, DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi planned to only spend a few months of the year in their newly purchased home in England. “Everything is simply better” in England, says DeGeneres. She particularly liked the politeness of people and the way they treated animals. She is also excited about life in the country after experiencing snow for the first time in winter. Ellen and Portia even brought some of their animals, including horses, chickens and sheep, with them to England and share glimpses of their new life on Instagram.
