Hörakustik Vollbach opens its first specialist store in Essen-Bredeney!

The city of Essen, or more precisely the Bredeney district, is entering a new era in hearing acoustics when the first Hörakustik Vollbach specialist store opens on November 11th. The company, which looks back on over 40 years of experience and originally started in Paderborn, is taking another significant step in its expansion. Now also in western Germany, the new store at Bredeneyer Straße 108 offers tailor-made solutions for people with hearing loss.

Master hearing care professionals Timur Sun and Puja Khosrozadeh are available at the new location to fit individual hearing aids. “Personal advice is particularly important to us,” emphasizes Friedrich Vollbach, who is the second generation to run the company. A free hearing test, which anyone interested can take advantage of, opens up an opportunity to improve their personal hearing. This is particularly important because access to good hearing also has a direct impact on people's quality of life.

Hearing health awareness

A look beyond the city limits shows that it is not just about providing hearing systems, but also about raising awareness of hearing health as a whole. The Hearing Health 2024 initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of good hearing ability. “Good hearing has a huge impact on our quality of life,” says this initiative, which is aimed at supporting the maintenance or improvement of hearing. A simple online registration for free hearing tests as well as the option to make an appointment with a hearing care professional ensure that help can be obtained quickly and easily.

But the problem is bigger than it seems at first glance. According to the EuroTrak Hearing Study 2022, 19 percent of people in Germany with a self-assessment of hearing loss do not seek medical examination. Middle-aged people in particular should pay attention here, because hearing loss - known as presbyacusis - often sets in from around the age of 50. Many people also decide against the recommended therapy with hearing aids, which can lead to physical, psychological and social disadvantages in the long term.

Early detection and medical care

With a clear focus on early hearing prevention, the Hearing Health Initiative is committed to promoting widespread early detection. According to a doctor's prescription, statutory health insurance companies cover the costs of hearing systems up to a certain amount, without any additional payment being necessary. “A regular hearing check should therefore be established as a preventive service for people aged 50 and over,” demand the experts.

In this sense, the opening of Hörakustik Vollbach is not only a new point of contact for individual hearing solutions, but also a sign of how important it is to raise public awareness of the topic of hearing health. Contact the new experts on 0201-764 08 310 and take care of your hearing - it could make a difference in your life!
