Grilling despite the climate: Germans hardly change their habits!

Grilling despite the climate: Germans hardly change their habits!

Euskirchen, Deutschland - grilling, a popular leisure experience, is very popular with many Germans - but what about sustainability? A current survey by the YouGov opinion research institute, ordered by the dpa, showed that the majority of Germans adhered to their grill habits, even in view of climate change. According to the results, 68 percent of the respondents did not change their grill practices. Only 9 percent have been switched on for environmental reasons or have adapted their behavior. For 32 percent of the respondents, climate protection is not an issue when grilling, while 17 percent attach less importance to him. Only a small group of 15 percent considers climate protection important and only 5 percent is very important, so reports Radio Euskirchen.

The opinion of grilling is so divided. A quarter of the grill ends (25 percent) would like to stick to their previous behavior. On the other hand, 47 percent of those who are ready for adaptation have already changed their habits to grill less often. 39 percent use less meat and 28 percent rely on vegetable grill alternatives.
